CURT Rebellion XD ShockDrop Ball Mount 50mm Square Hitch (Class 4) is a leap forward in Towing technology. It provides more control, confidence, and a more comfortable ride, all while protecting your towing system from jerking, jarring, rattling, and trailer sway.

CURT Rebellion XD Ball Mount is constructed with ShockDrop technology. Built into the ball mount is a cushioned isolator that inserts between the receiver shank and vertical shank. The isolator provides dynamic, adaptive suspension of the coupling point giving you a comfortable towing experience and provides increased control in events of sudden braking.

Unlike other cushioned ball mounts, the CURT Rebellion XD ShockDrop Ball Mount has no airbags or bearings, making the unit virtually maintenance-free. When you're ready to tow, simply mount it onto your receiver hitch like you would any other ball hitch.

The six height adjustment positions ensure level towing of the trailer, and it is perfect for all kinds of pickup trucks and SUVs, including larger and lifted trucks.

Do ShockDrop™ cushion hitches need regular maintenance?

ShockDrop™ is engineered to be virtually maintenance-free. The design is deliberately simple to reduce the tendency for excessive wear and the need for complicated repairs. Each product is equipped with an easy-access grease zerk for lubrication of the shock absorber mechanism.

Do ShockDrop™ products have an airbag?

No, ShockDrop™ products do not have airbags. Instead they are equipped with an integrated, flexible, polyurethane isolator. The design is engineered to last longer, require far less maintenance and maintain a high level of effectiveness.

Is the Rebellion™ XD difficult to install?

The Rebellion™ XD is as easy to install as any adjustable ball mount. The shank simply inserts into the trailer hitch receiver, and the tongue attachment can then be mounted, inserting the top pin first, followed by the bottom pin. Pressing down on the tongue while installing the bottom pin will ease the process.
